Ingredients of Carmalized Onion Rice

  1. Prepare 1 cup of Basmati Rice (soaked in water).
  2. You need 1 tsp of Garlic Ginger paste.
  3. Prepare 1 of Onion (chopped Diced).
  4. You need 1 of Onion (finely chopped).
  5. It's to taste of Salt.
  6. You need 3 tsp of Olive Oil.
  7. You need 1/2 tsp of Brown Sugar.
  8. It's 1/2 tsp of cumin seed.
  9. It's 2 of Bay leaves.
  10. It's 2 of cloves.
  11. It's 1/2 inch of cinnamon stick.

Carmalized Onion Rice instructions

  1. In a pan add 2 tsp Olive Oil then saute diced Onion and garlic ginger paste about 5 minutes.
  2. Then add water and salt, bring to a boil.
  3. Cover with lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. For carmalized onion heat 1 tsp Olive Oil over low heat and add Onion slices, after sometimes add 1/2 tsp Brown Sugar, stirring occasionally until completely soft, dark brown and carmalized.
  5. Then add Rice, cloves, cumin, cinnamon, bay leaves in a pan.
  6. Cover the pan and cooked for 15 minutes.
  7. Now the Carmalized Onion Rice is Ready to Serve.
