  1. Heat oil in a kadai.Add rye.Once they splutter,add curry leaves and finely sliced onions. Add pinch of salt,mix well and let the onions cook.
  2. Once the onions become translucent,add cut green chillies and ginger garlic paste.
  3. When the raw smell of the paste is gone,add finely chopped tomatoes.Make sure the tomatoes are more than onions.Add sugar and mix well.Let them cook.
  4. Meanwhile, in a blender,add the grated coconut,all the powders,salt as required and a cup of water and blend them.If you blend it really well,you don't need to strain it.
  5. Add this coconut mix to the masala and let it boil.Also check for salt content and add if required.Add water as required.
  6. Once the gravy starts boiling,add the eggs either full or cut into halves.Simmer the heat and close the lid for about a minute.
